17 Political Parties Adopts Late Prince Abubakar Audu’s  Son for Governor.

Ahead of the November 2019 Governorship election in Kogi State, no fewer than seventeen political parties in the State has endorsed the governorship ambition of Prince Mustapha Mona Audu as the next governor of Kogi State.

 

Mustapha who is the son of late Prince Abubakar Audu, a two time Governor of the state assured that he would send the incumbent Governor, Yahaya Bello parking in November this year.

 

Prince Mustapha Audu who was the first to publicly declared his intention to run for the position of the Governor of the state, hopes to actualize his ambition on the platform of the Young  Progressive Party (YPP).

Addressing his supporters in Lokoja on Wednesday while declaring his intention to contest for Kogi State governorship election, he said that the 17 political parties adopted him because of the quality he posses.

 

While lamenting infrastructural decay in the state the state Mustapha expressed dismay that civil servants were suffering, even as he condemned the total neglect of the developments of critical infrastructures in the state.

 

He noted that he was contesting in order to liberate the people of the state from abject poverty and total negligent by the present government in the state .

 

Prince Mustapha who regretted that Kogi State was yet to achieve its full potentials in terms of development, since its creation in 1991, said if elected he will embark on infrastructural  development so that Kogi State can meet up with other states created alongside with it.

He pointed out that if elected the issue of civil servant in the state would be solved immediately particularly in the areas of workers welfare and salary.

 

He also promised to bring dividends of democracy closer to the people as his administration will embark on meaningful development.

 

“Today is the beginning of our freedom, Lugard House gate is open. We shall occupy it.

 

” We are tired of half salary, no school fees, we are tired of suicide in Kogi State. Today we are ready to move Kogi forward,” he stated.

 

He assured the people of the state of his readiness to govern the state and bring meaningful development if given the chance.
