2019 elections : Kogi based Media consultant warn youths against being used as instrument of violence

Ahead of 2019 general elections Veteran Journalist and Media Consultant based in Kogi state,  Mr Otori Ozigi has called on youths in the state not to allow themselves to be used as agents of political crises.

 

Ozigi who made the call in Lokoja yesterday while interacting with newsmen expressed worries over the way and manner some disgruntled politicians kept their children abroad and used the children of the masses as political thugs to unleashed terror on oppositions.

 

The media consultant called on the youths in Kogi state to engage themselves in meaningful venture that can better their lives rather than being tools for political destruction.

“I am appealing to youths in Kogi state especially those from central senatorial district not to allow themselves to be deceived  by politicians who are fond of using youths as political thugs” he advised.

 

Ozigi who also spoke on the forthcoming election,  urged electorate to desist from voting representatives to National Assembly without track record of achievements.

 

According to him “The National Assembly especially the Senate is meant for technocrats or a manager of human resource who have enormous achievements”

 

He described the senatorial candidate of  APC in Kogi Central Alhaji Yakubu Oseni as a man fit for the job considering his track record of achievements while in the banking sector and at Kogi State Internal Revenue Service.

“While in the banking sector he gave employments to over 200 youths from his district. Again at KGIRS where he served as the executive chairman,  he also employed over 400 youth across the state and has raised the revenue profile of the state from the paltry sum of N200 million to over N1billion , a feat that has never been achieved since the creation of the state over 27 years ago”

 

He assured that if the APC candidate Alhaji Oseni is given the mandate he would usher in meaningful development that have eluded the people for long as a result of poor representations.
