2019 elections : Kogi East senator, Aidoko pleads with PDP supporters, as ex Gov. Idris Predict victory for the party

With just two weeks to the 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections, the Senator representing Kogi East,Atai Aidoko on Saturday knelt down while soliciting votes for the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the coming elections.

 

Aidoko who spoke at the stakeholders meeting held at the PDP Secretariat in Lokoja was full of apology for the people of Kogi East whom he might have offended a great deal in the past and urged party members not to allowed the sins of one or few members rub off negatively on the success of the party at all levels.

He said that the party is well positioned to take over at all levels including the presidency since the people have tested other side and have found out that the PDP was far better than the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) at all levels.

 

In an interview later on the sideline of the event, Aidoko said that he knelt down to show that no sacrifice was too much to make for the people who elected him elected to serve.

 

He said that nothing short of total victory was good enough for the people especially in Kogi where the people have been subjected to serious hardships in the last three and half years.

Also speaking at the stakeholders meeting, the Chairman Kogi state campaign committee of Atiku/Obi presidential bid, former Governor Ibrahim Idris said that the meeting was called to appeal to party members to eschew violence during and even after the elections.

 

He showered encomium on Senator Aidoko for showing humility through his apology to the people of Kogi and genuinely pleading not to allow the sins of a few impact negatively on the success that is sure for  the party at all levels in the coming elections.

 

Idris who was very optimistic  of PDP’s victory in the elections, called on party supporters to vote for all the candidates of the party in all the elections
