The Social Democratic Party (SDP), House of Representatives Candidate for Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Aibro, has called for paradigm shift in the election into Federal House Representatives in the area, saying that he is most qualified for the job
Aibro made this known during the flag-off campaign in Umaisha Development Area in Toto local government area of the state.
Hon Aibro had earlier met with HRH. Abdullahi Usman, Ohiemegye Opanda, the Paramount ruler of Umaisha in his palace to seek for his royal blessings. .
Aibro lamented that Nasarawa/Toto Federal Constituency comprising of Toto and Nasarawa local government areas has remain the most backward due to lack of infrastructural development in the area.
The young and energetic politician said if he is given the mandate in February 16, he would use his wealth of experience and connections to propel sustainable development to the Federal Constituency of Nasarawa/Toto.
“The world is currently being controlled by the youths, because we have the highest population in the world and it is time for the youths to be at National Assembly “, he said.
He lamented that those representing the zone since the inception of this present democratic dispensation are old people who don’t understand the modern trends hence the backwardness of the zone.
“As a Federal lawmaker you don’t just go to the National Assembly and wait for allowances, you must seek and lobby your colleagues on the needs of your immediate constituency “.
“What I intend to do, is to bring federal presence in the two LGAs”, he said.
Hon Aibro was also at the party office to addressed SDP youths and women groups who have turned out in their numbers to received him.
The politician also visited Ugya community where he met HRH. Mallam Adamu, the Otaru Ugya in his residence.
Aibro called on the federal government to intensify efforts in tackling the menace of arm bandits in Toto LGA.
“The federal government in collaboration with the state government should please redouble their efforts in ending this wanton killings and destruction of lives and property in Toto”, he said.
Also at the event was Hon. Issa Ibraheem Olo, the House of Assembly candidate for Umaisha/Ugya constituency.
In his speech Olo, said the people of Toto LG specifically Umaisha district have suffered enough in the hands of the ruling government in the state, hence the crave for genuine change in the coming election.
Olo called on the people of Umaisha/Ugya to see this coming election as the only hope and alternative to the failed adminstration.
He advised the youths of Umaisha/Ugya constituency to work vigorously towards ensuring victory for SDP in the forthcoming election.
