KENW Seeks Support For Communities Attacked By Herdsmen In Kogi

A community policing organization, Kogi East Neighborhood Watch (KENW) has appealed for urgent support for Internally Displaced Person’s in Oganenigu, Edede, Aloko communities who were attacked by herdsmen at the weekend.

The group in a statement signed by its Director, Public Communication,
Wing Commander Iye Ayefu Aku rtd, on Tuesday said Kogi East Neighborhood Watch (KENW) is working with stakeholders from the affected communities as they have
provided Focal Persons and points to receive materials and funding support.

Aku noted that the human displacement in the various communities is massive, adding that, no one in the community will be able to engage himself in agricultural and other economic activities in the near future until the security threat is removed.

The statement reads in part”Following a meeting of Oganenigu ward yesterday evening, to review the massive destructions of lives and properties in the communities.
