Kogi guber : OMPM Group unveil movement to defend Usman Ododo’s mandate

A fresh dimension has been added to the victory of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, as interest group has indicated interest to converged and launch ‘Mandate Protection Movement’ for Alhaji Ododo.

The group coordinator, Abubakar Tenim said they will soon unveil the Ododo Mandate Movement, stating that it is basically to “safeguard the mandate of Ododo against all forms of potential threats or distractions.”

The Coordinator of the group further stated that it is necessary to defend the mandate given to Ododo to fast-track development in the state.

He affirmed that Ododo’s administration would engender responsible government whose priority is to accelerate social and economic development for sustainable well being of the state, by leveraging on the development template already developed by the Governor Yahaya led administration.

He further said: “Tell me which of the three key candidates in the just concluded governorship primaries election is most acceptable, considering record of their past performances, if not Alhaji Ododo.

“His victory was well deserved, and the results of the poll reflected the will of the people.

“Look at his achievements as Auditor General of the state, where he distinguished himself as a pacesetter. He has shown compassion to thousands of persons through various humanitarian interventions.

“The APC Governorship candidate has come to serve and to move Kogi state to its next realm of development. Therefore, those who are making efforts to distract his focus are advised to distance themselves from him. This is the reason political stakeholders would gathered to launch the ‘Ododo Mandate Protection Movement.’ It is going to be widespread group, spreading accross the state with the aim of safeguarding the mandate of Ododo”.

“We must defend Ododo’s mandate, because of his passion to serve and develop the state. As broadminded person, he has started consultations across the state already. He will certainly be a unifying point for our people”.

“Leadership is all about commitment and competency. That’s why we have no other option but to support and defend his mandate, because we believe he will do everything possible to move kogi forward.”
