Ohimege,Rogan, Danman of Lokoja others attend Maigari’s One year Fida’u Prayer

A one year fidau prayers was on Thursday held for the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Kabiru Maikarfi 111 at his place , Lokoja.

The prayer which lasted for an hour was led by the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban and other Islamic scholars from and outside the state

The Chief Imam of Lokoja Central Mosque, Sheikh Sha’aban, who led the prayer session, soliciting Allah’s forgiveness for Maigari’s mistakes, while granting his soul eternal bliss.

He urged the Muslim ummah to pray for the late Alhaji Muhammadu Kabiru Maikarfi, saying: “The only thing he needs from you now is prayer, whether you are a family member or a sympathiser.”

On his part, the Maiyaki of Lokoja, Alhaji Ali Lawal, described the deceased as a leader par excellence, who led a good life. He also stated that the last one year had been a time of sober reflection for the Lokoja community, family, friends, and those whose lives he touched in one way or the other.

He thereafter urged those present to keep praying for the peace and unity of Lokoja and appealed to gov Bello to appoint the late Monarch successor.

The traditional rulers were led by Ohimege igu of koton karfe and chairman Lokoja,Kogi local governments traditional Council, who was represented by the Ohimoze of Ogbani, Alhaji Abdullahi Bako,the Rogan of Eggan,His Royal Highness, Alhaji Umar Alhassan,the Agankyu of kakanda,was represented by the Sokyako of Kakanda Kingdom,
Alhaji illiyasu Waziri were among the dignitaries who attended the one year Fidau prayer.

Similarly, Hon Tijjani Bin-Ebiya Shehu, member representing Lokoja 1 Constituency, the danman of Lokoja, Alhaji Sulaiman Baba,members of Danko Development Forum (DDF) led by Alhaji Bala Haruna, Prince Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, senior son of the deceased were among those that grace the occasion.

Recalled that His Royal Highness, the Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Kabiru Maikarfi 111,died in Abuja on Wednesday 28 September 2022 at the age of 80 years.
