Kogi Guber; VP Shettima canvasses massive votes for APC’s Ododo

The Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Kashim Shettima called on the people of Kogi State to vote enmasse for the Candidate of the All Progress Congress, (APC), Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, in the November 11 Governorship election in the state.

Shettima made the call during the Kogi APC governorship flag off campaign, held at the Muhammadu Buhari square in Lokoja on Sunday.

He stressed the need for Kogi abdnits people not to be left behind in the Center, noting that the APC government in the state has done well in the areas of both human and infrastructural development, which he said will give the party the winning votes.

The Vice President further revealed that, the Federal Government is already collaborating with foreign companies towards the resuscitation Ajaokuta steel Company so as to contribute to the economic prosperity of the nation.

He maintained that, the Federal Government is also putting measures in place towards the dredging of river Niger, in a bid to attract meaningful development in Kogi State and Nigeria in general.

He thanked Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State for believing in the Youths, and bringing good governance to the people adding that, it is time for electorates to decide their fate by voting a competent, credible leader who will deliver on their campaign promises.

In his address, the National Chairman of APC Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said the present administration has done well for the People of Kogi State hence the need for consolidation, continuity and sustainability.

” Kogi State needs a young Man who will consolidate on the good work of Alhaji Yahaya Bello. Don’t make any mistake of voting for another candidate who will not deliver for his people. What is requested of Kogi People is to vote for someone who will unite Kogi and ensure that development keeps springing up at the grassroots” he stated.

In his welcome address, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing the milestone of support that enables him to perform and reposition the state to the present status.

He thanked the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Umar Ganduje for enriching the party towards victory.

“You all knew where we all took the state from and where it is today in terms of healthcare delivery, education, infrastructure development and others too numerous to mention. You gave us support and opportunity to perform this much”.

I am confident that you will overwhelmingly vote Usman Ododo and on that day, we will be jubilating for the victory.

We have emulated one of our founding fathers, Chief Obafemi Awolowo by declaring free education in the state.

“Today, from Primary school to senior secondary school, our education is free of charge”.

“In Kogi state, there is no ethnic agenda, the only thing we have is development agenda and that is what we are working on.

Addressing the crowd, the Candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) in the November 11 Governorship election Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, said his agenda is to unite Kogites and bring meaningful development to the people.

The Governorship Candidate who stated that, Kogi State belongs to APC, appealed to electorates come out enmass on election day and vote for him and his Deputy Joel Oyibo for the needed development.

According to him, Kogi should not be allowed to be govern by selfish individuals, who are coming out to divide the State and hiding under ethnic agenda.

According to him, his campaign mantra will be on sustainability for human capital development, Youths empowerment and improvement in basic infrastructure across Kogi State.

Ododo, however, appreciated his principal Alhaji Yahaya Bello for giving the youths a sense of belonging, adding that, Koji State will witness rapid development and security when the ruling party retain power in November.

While assuring that his administration will not disappoint the people of Kogi State when elected, the Governorship Candidate also vowed to deliver on the renewed hope of President Bola Ahmed Ahmed Tinubu.
