The family of Ibrahim Ajih, Dan Galadima Igala Loko, Nasarawa has given out his daughter, Rebecca to the Senior Son of Late Prince Stephen Alhassan Ejike, Mr. Friday Stephen in holy matrimony.
The event which took place on 30th November, 2024, was a culmination of traditional and church wedding, which was a sight to behold, a grand affair befitting the stature of the esteemed families involved.
The traditional marriage was held at the bride’s family compound at Police Barracks in Lokoja, while the church service was held at the pool International Church behind CBN, Lokoja.
Amidst the opulent setting at the traditional wedding adorned with Christian and traditional music, Friday Alhassan and Rebecca Ibrahim exchanged vows, sealing their commitment to each other.
But what truly elevated the occasion to new heights was the presence of distinguished Leaders from Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Kogi state Council.
They include the present Zone D Vice president , Alhaji Adeiza MomohJimoh, the kogi council chairman, Comrade Ademu Haruna Shiedu, and the past chairmen of the union, Ali Atabor, Elder Emmanuel Boro and former Vice president, Mr. Tims Ejika, the present vice chairman of the council, Ibrahim Obansa, immediate past vice chairman and Ex-Officio, Alhaji Abubakar Suleman and other esteem members lend their grace and prestige to the celebration.

Also, the colourful ceremony witnessed the presence of the staff from Federal Teaching Hospital and Kogi state Specialist Hospital where the couples works, who came in their numbers to grace the event, each paying homage to the bond of love between Friday Alhassan and Rebecca.
Barrister Edmond Onoja who was the uncle to the groom was the chairman of the occasion at the reception ground at Kogi state sports centre, phase 11, Lokoja.
As the festivities unfolded and the air filled with laughter and merriment at the reception ground, it was a testament of love and the enduring spirit of unity that binds the union.
And at the heart of it all stood the chairman of the occasion, Barrister Edmond Onoja and his wife, beaming with pride and joy as they witnessed their son’s embark on a new chapter of his life, prayed fervently for the couple for God’s blessings.
