In order to ensure quality and timely delivery of jobs, Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on Thursday inspected road projects in Central Senatorial District of the State.
The tour covered road networks in Okehi Local Government Area, including Okaito, Ihima Junction, and Obangede, which are being handled by TEC Engineering Company, Nigeria.

Governor Ododo was represented at the inspection by the Auditor General for Local Government, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege.
The Governor commended the contractor for the excellent work done, praising their professionalism and dedication to delivering quality results.
He added that Governor Ododo’s administration is committed to prioritizing infrastructural development, economic growth, and social welfare of the state.

The Governor emphasized the importance of assessing progress of work to enhance seamless transportation and economic growth, noting that successful completion of the projects would impact the state’s economic development, enhancing connectivity and accessibility.
He stressed that the state government is dedication to transparency and accountability, acts that are essential for effective governance aimed and ensuring that awarded projects and initiatives are executed efficiently and for the benefit of the people.

The State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Yusuf Muhammed Ahovi had earlier reiterated the significance of monitoring and evaluation of projects in ensuring timely completion, adding that the visit was a critical component of their core obligations towards ensuring transparency and accountability in the development and implementation of infrastructure projects.

Responding, the contractor responsible for the road construction projects in Okaito, Ihima Junction, and Obangede, emphasized the company’s commitment to completing the work within two months.
