The former Senate Leader and ex-Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has held his first meeting with members of the Governing Council of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) after he was redeployed to the institution as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council from Federal University Lokoja (FUL).

Ndoma-Egba was recently swapped with Engr. Kayode Ojo who was reassigned to FUL from FUOYE with the approval of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT). The reason given for the swapping was that Engr Ojo is an indigene of Ekiti and therefore “The strategic change is part of President Tinubu’s initiative to foster diversity and national cohesion in the management of the country’s universities.”

In attendance at the maiden meeting held in Abuja and presided over by Ndoma-Egba were the Vice Chancellor of FUOYE Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina and other distinguished members of the Governing Council.

Within the few months Ndoma-Egba spent in FUL before his redeployment to FUOYE, he made significant impact in the institution working harmoniously and collaboratively with the university’s management to reposition and lift the school to greater heights.
