The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Senator (Dr) Victor Umeh OFR (Dike Eji Eje Mba na Awka) has received the “Outstanding Political And Public Service Award” from the Awka Ambassadors Club of Nigeria (AACN) in their annual event held in Awka, Anambra State.
A Facebook post by Charles Ifeanyi Obi, an aide to the senator, indicated that the award was conferred on Umeh in recognition of his “Exceptional Performances and Inspirational Delivery of Excellent Services” of which Awka has benefited fairly.
The award was presented by an erstwhile Senator of Anambra Central, High Chief Ben Obi (Ojeligbo na Awka) who also extolled the Ohamadike Ndigbo for his good works and described the award as well-deserved.
Among other honorees at the event was the lawmaker representing Awka North and Awka South Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Prof. Lilian Oby Orogbu (Ada Di’Ebube).
Recently conferred with the prestigious Chieftaincy Title of “IFECHUKWUDELU NNEWI” by the First-Class Monarch of Nnewi, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Dr. Kenneth O. Orizu III, CON, JP (Igwe Nnewi), Umeh, a chieftain of Labour Party (LP), was equally in December 2024 bestowed with the “Responsive Representation for Good Governance Award” by the Senate Press Corps. In the same month, he was honoured with an award of excellence as best performing senator by the Anambra State Chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
