The Maigari of Lokoja, HRM, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV has donated drugs and consumables worth millions of Naira to three Primary HealthCare Centres in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital.
According to the Maigari, who also doubles as the Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Area Traditional council, the drugs are to be given free to patients and assured of more support that will improve the health conditions of the people.
The three Primary Healthcare Centres that enjoyed the Traditional Ruler’s gesture are the ones located at Angwan Yashi, Angwan Kura and Kabawa Primary HealthCare Centres in Lokoja metropolis.
Speaking further, the Royal father said the Primary Health Care Centres will equally be expanded and provided with drugs by the World Bank.
The Traditional Ruler who said the visit to the health Centres underscores the priority he places on the health of the people, noted that the gesture is to also appreciate the people for their support in the last one year and advise them to continue to live in harmony.
Also speaking during the occasion, the Chairman of Lokoja LGA, Abdullahi Adamu and the Member, Representing Lokoja 1 constituency, in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Tijani Ebaya, described the reign of the Maigari as eventful for the people of Lokoja and expressed appreciation for the donation of the drugs and other items to the Primary Healthcare Centres in his domain.
