It has come to the attention of my office that some individuals are going around extorting and obtaining false pretense from unsuspecting members of the public under the guise of constituting a SPECIAL STRATEGIC STANDING MEDIA AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS TEAM for Governor Hyacinth Alia’s second term.
These individuals have listed names without the consent of the people whose names have been used and have sent communications to various targets, claiming to represent this SPECIAL STRATEGIC STANDING MEDIA AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS TEAM.
for the purpose of extortion and false pretenses.
These individuals are viciously relying on the goodwill of the Reverend gentleman and have already defrauded several prominent individuals within and outside the state.
Your Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia has not directed or assigned anyone to constitute a media team for him for any purpose.
The public is advised to disregard any communication from such individuals and to report them to the police, any other law enforcement agency, Security Advisers or my office.
Anyone who insists on dealing with such individuals does so at their own risk.
One of the suspected fraudsters has been identified already, and investigation is in progress.
