Kogi Assembly lauds General Akereola over construction of the 1.6Km road in Ogori.

The Kogi State House of Assembly has commended Major General Erema Akereola for the construction and asphalting of 1.6km access road linking the community comprehensive High school Ogori to the township road network.

The commendation was sequel to the motion was move by The Member Representing Ogori/Magongo State Constituency Hon Bode Ogunmola Gemini, saying that the commendation was both timely and richly deserved.

According to him, Major General Erema Akereola’s intervention is a bridge to opportunity, safety and dignity for the people of Ogori, adding that this exemplary patriotism and commitment has improved access to education, reduced hardship for school children and residents, saying that it has also boosted local connectivity.

He noted that in 2024, through the General’s strategic influence and patriotism, the Nigeria Army undertook and completed the construction and asphalting of the 1.6Km access road linking the community comprehensive High school in Ogori to the township road network.

He noted that, Major General Erema Akereola an indigene of Ogori and Chief of Logistics at the Nigeria Army Headquarters has consistently demonstrated Commitment to community development.

Hon Bode urged the house to commend the effort of Major General Erema Akereola for his outstanding and selfless contribution to community development and charged other well meaning Nigerians to emulate his ememplary conduct in public service.

Member Representing Igalamela/Odolu. Hon Enefola Major, while supporting the motion, commended the good effort of Major General Erema Akereola and urged the state government to honour him for his commitment to community service.

He also appreciate him for being steadfast towards having the 1.6km road constructed which has help in the development of community.

The Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola appreciate Major General Erema Akereola for his contribution to development of his community and urged other well place individuals to do same.

She direct the Clerk of the house of Assembly to convey a certified copy of the resolution to Major General Erema Akereola and to transmit a copy of the same resolution to the Chief of Army Staff. Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede.
