The lawmaker representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of National Assembly, Rep. Bassey Akiba, has described Governor Bassey Edet Otu as extraordinarily proactive and productive in the running of the affairs of the state since assuming office as Cross River governor on May 29, 2023.
According to The Bridge Media, Rep Akiba, a grassroots politician who is the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Healthcare Services, applauded Otu’s bold leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to people-oriented development.
The Bridge Media reports that Rep Akiba stated that the pace and quality of progress under Governor Otu’s administration has been inspiring and reassuring to the people.
“Governor Bassey Otu has proven himself to be a leader with foresight and an uncommon zeal for development. His administration has hit the ground running with policies that reflect deep understanding of the needs of our people,” the Federal Parliamentarian noted.
Rep Akiba, a vibrant lawmaker believed to be offering quality representation to the people of his constituency, cited Governor Otu’s early interventions in key sectors such as infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, and youth empowerment as evidence of a purposeful administration that is focused on delivering lasting value to the state.
The Bridge Media further reports that the legislator equally lauded the growing wave of endorsements Governor Otu has been receiving from across the state, describing it as a clear and organic affirmation of his effective governance and widespread acceptability.
