The immediate past chairman of Nigeria Union Of Teachers ( NUT) Adavi Branch, Comrade Salami Anataku, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kogi state, His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo for his commitment to improving the lives of teachers in the state.
Speaking on Thursday, during the Delegates Conference and Election of new executive members of the Union, held at Ebira Community Secondary School Ogaminan, Adavi LGA, the former chairman listen some the interventions of Governor Ododo to include, Full and timely salary payments, Implementation of new minimum wage, payment of 2025 leave bonus ( allowance) and the introduction of Health Insurance Scheme Programme for teachers in the state.
Commenting on the second term bid of the Governor Comrade Salami said “Let me use this opportunity to emphasis that the re- election of Governor Ododo’ is a sure bet. There Shall Be Know Vacancy In Lugard House In 2027.
Speaking further he said “I must also commend our visionary and humane state chairman, Comrade Alhaji Dauda Yakubu, who has brought a lot of innovations to the union in his quest for show of of love and care for teachers that have critical sickness in kogi state.
The introduction of sick relief projects for heroes and heroines in the classroom is a masterstroke.
“Let me use this opportunity to appreciate the Executive Chairman of Adavi Local Government Area, Hon. Bashiru Abdulrasheed Okatengwu for creating enabling environment for the union to function throughout this period. I say thank you for carrying the union along in the scheme of things at the branch.
“I equally appreciate our God fearing, hardworking and results oriented Education Secretary of Adavi Local Government Education Authority Pastor Mathew Ishaiah whom the union have had wonderful cordially relationship with.
Speaking on his tenure as chairman of NUT Adavi LGA branch, Salami said “Today marks a significant milestone in our journey as educators. As we gathered to celebrate our achievements and challenges ahead, I am honoured to stand before you as the out going chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers Adavi Local government area branch.
“We have come a long way since we embarked on this noble union through challenges and triumphs, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to this great union.
“Thank you for your support and guidance. I am proud of the work we have done together.
“To my fellow Delegates here today, as we celebrate our achievements let us also look to the future with hope and determination.
“Let us continue to inspire and motivate our pupils and students to reach their full potential. Let us remain committed to our noble profession and strive for excellence in all we do.
“I have live to say that it’s been honor, to serve as your branch chairman. I am proud of what we have achieved together and am confident that our best days are yet to come in this talk and chalk industry. Thanks.
