The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Bassey Edet Otu, on Tuesday paid unscheduled visits to different project sites in Calabar, the state capital to inspect ongoing works.
According to Otu, the visits were to enable him have on-the-spot assessments of the ongoing works and hear the concerns of the workers and ensure contractors are adhering to quality requirements and deadlines.
In a post on his Facebook page, the Governor said:
“Yesterday, I paid unscheduled visits to some ongoing project sites in Calabar.
“These inspections are important because they allow me to see progress firsthand, listen to the concerns of workers on ground, and ensure that contractors are keeping to both quality and timelines.
“Our people deserve results they can feel, and I remain committed to making sure every project translates into real impact for Crossriverians.
“The Season of Sweetness must be evident in every community.”
Otu, a quintessential leader acknowledged as one of the best performing governor in the country that has worked tirelessly to transform Cross River State and put smiles on the faces through the delivery of dividends of democracy to his people.
