The Chief of Staff (CoS) to Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, has congratulated the governor on his appointment as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for Anambra State governorship election holding on November 8, 2025.
The appointment of Governor Otu as the Chairman of Anambra APC National Campaign Council for the state’s governorship poll was announced in a release by the national secretariat of the APC in Abuja.
The release signed by the National Organising Secretary of the APC, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, indicated that the inauguration of Otu and other members of the National Campaign Council will hold on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the party’s National Secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
Otu’s Chief of Staff, in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Patrick Asuquo, described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of the Governor’s political leadership and consistency in delivering results for the APC.
He recalled the Governor’s pivotal role in leading the APC to electoral victories in Imo and Edo States as Chairman of the respective campaign councils, adding that his faithful implementation of the People’s First Manifesto in Cross River State stands as further testimony to his capacity for effective leadership.
“With this new assignment, there is no doubt that His Excellency will once again deploy his wealth of experience and strategic leadership to deliver victory for our great party in Anambra State,” the statement said.
The Chief of Staff, on behalf of the Government and people of Cross River State, wished the Governor continued success in this national assignment.
In the same vein, the Cross River State Commissioner for Commerce, Dr. Abigail Duke, also felicitated Governor Otu on his appointment as the National Campaign Council Chairman for Anambra gubernatorial election.
The Commissioner, in a statement, described the appointment as a recognition of Governor Otu’s rising profile in national politics and his ability to deliver results for the party.
Dr. Duke pointed out that the Governor’s effective delivery of the People First Manifesto in Cross River State has strengthened his reputation as a leader who turns vision into tangible achievements. She added that his earlier leadership roles as Chairman of APC campaign councils in Imo and Edo States, which ended in electoral successes for the party, provide clear evidence of his capacity to replicate similar victories.
“With the Governor’s proven leadership, strategic experience, and commitment to the party’s ideals, the APC is positioned for success in Anambra State,” Dr. Duke averred.
She extended her best wishes to the Governor as he takes on the national assignment and assured him of her continued support.
