Ajaokuta Reps Member Empowers Constituents, hails Gov Ododo For Creating Fertile Ground For Development

The member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, in the National Assembly, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem has launched a Mega Empowerment Programme aimed at boosting economic growth and self-reliance among constituents.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Abdulraheem described the initiative as “a defining moment in our collective journey toward economic emancipation.”

He noted that the programme was designed to empower youths, women, farmers, traders, persons with disabilities, and the elderly.

The lawmaker provided ICT training and startup grants for youths, business tools for market women, and grants for vulnerable women to start small-scale enterprises.

He also announced a monthly stipend of ₦10,000 for 200 elderly citizens and distributed farm inputs, tricycles, motorcycles, and deep freezers among other items to promote agriculture, transportation, and small businesses.

Hon. Sanni commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for creating “a fertile ground for development” in Kogi State, citing key projects such as the Free Trade Zone, Eganyi–Ebiya Road, and five ongoing LNG projects in Ajaokuta.

He also appreciated former Governor Yahaya Bello for laying the foundation for the state’s current growth.

Reaffirming his commitment to effective representation, Hon. Abdulraheem promised to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy through impactful legislation and people-oriented projects.

“We are not just distributing items; we are planting seeds of prosperity,” Hon. Abdulraheem maintained, urging beneficiaries to use their empowerment packages wisely.

The event attracted party leaders, traditional rulers, youth and women groups, and hundreds of beneficiaries who hailed the lawmaker for his inclusive leadership.
