As the heat generated by the viral video posted by one Joy Sadiq, lingers on, the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has warned against any malicious statement against President Bola Tinubu, which he said was capable of causing tension in the State
Governor Ododo gave the warning in Lokoja on Sunday following the arrest of Joy Sadiq also known as Real Mama Kogi who allegedly posted a viral video alleging that former Governor Bello is having a strained relationship with President Bola Tinubu.
In the said video that has gone viral, Mama Kogi had alleged that President Tinubu has been witch hunting former Governor Yahaya Bello despite his role in making him win his election in 2023.
Speaking on the interest of the State on the matter, Governor Ododo noted that some selfish individuals are making frantic efforts to cause crisis in the State and Nigeria at large by allegedly sponsoring some individuals to make founded allegations against the President.
His words:
“The President is doing all to fix this nation. We are aware that there are selfish and self centered individuals that are using our people. Of course, apart from being in Government, I am a responsible Child. I should be Mr President’s Grand Child. Anybody that is supposed to know the value of a Friend, we have to show that we the Children won’t take it. We are not going to do anything illegal. We are going to allow security agencies to do their jobs diligently by investigating the matter.
“I have just been briefed by the Police. Investigation and interrogation is ongoing. What I can say now, is politics taking too far. We Won’t accept it. I have been saying this, Nigerians especially Kogites should not be used to malign anybody’s image. Don’t allow yourself to be used by self centered and destructive politicians who only know themselves. If you do, the person will face the full wrath of the law.
“Am calling on our Mother’s, Father’s to speak to their wards so that they should not be used by fraudulent politicians. This is the time that this fraudulent individuals used several means to deceive our people by sponsoring them to malign people’s image. We won’t accept that. We don’t use thugs and I don’t have thugs.
“The law enforcement agencies are is there to ensure that those sponsoring hate speech is apprehended. Sadly, I saw some politicians sharing this video. In my own place, as a responsible Child, if your father is being insulted, that won’t be accepted.
