The Kogi State chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), said all necessary arrangements have been put in place to host a Meeting toward sensitizing members on the need to embrace peace.

This was disclosed by MACBAN Chairman, Alhaji Umar Yusuf Damina in a chat with Journalists on Tuesday in Lokoja.
Alhaji Damina who was in company of his State Organizing secretary, Mallam Adam Mohammed told Newsmen that the meeting was part of the measures initiated by MACBAN leadership to educate and sensitize their members on the current security challenges in the country and the advantages of peaceful co-existence.
According to him, the meeting will also discuss and tried to fine last and accepted solution to farmers and herders crisis.
He therefore called on all members from the 21 local government Areas of Kogi state to participate in the proposed gathering slated to be held at Children’s Amusement park Lokoja on Saturday 29th November, 2025 by 10am.
The Chairman said that MACBAN has since embarked on a sensitisation tour of communities to educate members on the dangers of taking laws into their hands.
According to him, ” The proposed meeting with our members is also to sensitize our members and the public to solve problems between fulani herders and farmers in the state and to equally find solution to the issues of insecurity.
The chairman also commended the heads of security agencies and the Kogi State governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for stepping up efforts to unite the people and promote mutual trust across tribal, religious and political lines.
