The Kogi state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), has nominated the member Representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency, in the national Assembly, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, for a merit award in recognition of his outstanding Representation of his constituency.
In the nomination letter signed by Alhaji Ademu Saidu and Comrade Segun Oyenibi, Chairman and Secretary, respectively, said the nomination of Hon Abdulraheem also followed the giant strides witnessed under his representation in the areas of infrastructure development and in providing quality legislative engagement.

August, 2025, the recognition and award is to be presented and unveiled to the lawmaker at the Grand finale of the 2025 Kogi NUJ Press Week with the Theme: “Kogi State’s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development.
According to the letter, the Governor of Kogi State, Alhajl Usman Ahmed Ododo, would serve as the
Special Guest of Honour at the Press Week Grand finale, while His Royal Majesty, the Ohimege Igu of Kotonkarfi Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
According to the Union, The programme Is scheduled to hold at the Edge Drive Hotel Lokoja, on 25th September, 2025 at 10:00am.
