The Kogi State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has nominated Hon. David Idris Zacharias. Member, Representing Idah Federal Constituency, National Assembly. for an award of Excellence.
The award is in recognition of his performances in ensuring Employment and Empowerment.
The nomination also followed the giant strides witnessed in the areas of his Community Development under his representation.
Furthermore, the award is in recognition of his invaluable contributions to the people of Idah Federal Constituency, particularly, in his efforts aimed at improving the well-being of the people in the areas through regular empowerment and support.
The recognition and award is to be presented and unveiled at the Grand finale of the 2025 Kogi NUJ Press Week with the Theme: “Kogi State’s Solid Minerals: How Media Can Drive Development”.
The program is scheduled to hold at the EdgeDrive Hotel Lokoja, 25th September 2025 at 10:00am.
His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the Press Week Grand finale.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
In a statement signed by Alhaji Ademu Saidu Chairman and Comr. Segun Oyenibi , Secretary, congratulated David Idris Zacharias, described the award as well deserved.
