Former Senate President, H.E. Abubakar Bukola Saraki; The Och’Idoma, HRM Dr Agabaidu Elaigwu Odugbo John; National Coordinator, Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM), AVM Monday Morgan, and other dignitaries were, on Monday evening, early callers in the Abuja home of the senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro PhD, to sympathize with him over the tragic incident of the deaths of his sons.
Senator Moro lost his grandchild, Abba Moro Jr on Friday, and his son, Peter Moro on Saturday in a ghastly motor accident in Abuja. The senator returned to Abuja on Monday evening after taking the bodies home for burial.
The Och’Idoma said he received the news of the tragic incidents with shock. He prayed God to give the senator and his family the hearts to bear the irreplaceable losses.
Senator Saraki, on his part said the loss of a grandson and a son within 48 hours was a pain no family should ever have to bear. He said he and his team came to identify with the senator and his family, and prayed God to strengthen, comfort, and surround them with His peace through this very dark season.
In their separate condolence messages, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, and former governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom expressed shock over the incidents. They described what happened as a heart wrenching, sad and devastating double tragedy that words can hardly express. They prayed God to grant the souls of the deceased eternal rest.
BRM, Adoka stakeholders and other individuals were on ground to condole the senator.
