A former member of the House of Representatives Member for Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency, Hon. Aliyu Omeiza Saiki, has announced his intention to run for the Kogi Central Senatorial Seat, under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2027.
Saiki, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), made the declaration at Uka Nation critical stakeholders’ meeting yesterday.
The event which was attended by prominent traditional rulers, at the instance of Ohi of Adavi, Alhaji Muhammad Ereyi Bello, was a huge success.
The Royal Fathers in attendance expressed their heartfelt appreciations for the concrete foundation laid by the Former Governor, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and the continued unassailable efforts of the current Executive Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, to developing Kogi State.
The one time Chairman, House Committee on Steel Development, Hon. Aliyu Omeiza Saiki, SAN, proceeded to inform his Maternal Family, the great Ezi Omoye across Kogi Central at Kings Royal Hotel, Okene, where the Senatorial hopeful was equally blessed and given approval to answer the Clarion calls for the Senatorial assignment.
In addition, the National President of Omoye Development Association, Permanent Secretary (Retired) Adayi Y. Momoh, maintained and pledged “that Omoye is APC, and once you are presented by the Party, our winning support is yours, Honourable Saiki”.
He further eulogized Hon. Aliyu Omeiza Saiki by saying that, Kogi Central people are convinced and satisfied with his impressive anticidence at the National Assembly, his admirable moral background and of course, how his current legal personality would add more value to the development of the Senatorial District.
In the same vain, Aliyu Omeiza Saiki, SAN, visited Ohi Etohuwyie of Ebiraland, an Elder State man, Adayi Isa Ozi Salami who also threw his weight behind Saiki.
Again, the Elder Statesman, couldn’t hide his feelings over the upliftment, innovations, social development and infrastructural development initiated by His Excellency, FGYB, and the valuable consolidation by his proud successor, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The Learned Silk, who participated as one of the lawyers during the post election litigation at the both presidential and Gubernatorial election petition, equally uses the occasion of his declaration to the Nigeria’s Upper Parliament, to seek the re-election of both President Ahmed Bola Tinubu GCFR and Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that, both of them deserved a second term respectively.
Other notable career diplomats who were also in attendance during the declaration were seasoned lawyers like, Barrister S.O Odege, Barrister A.U Akobe and B.H Onuwoji, Esq.
