In a significant gesture of support and recognition, the Kogi Central Think Tank Forum paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Steven Momoh Aziz, the Permanent Secretary of the Kogi State Ministry of Health, at his office in Lokoja. This visit underscores the Ministry’s commendable achievements under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Mr. Aziz warmly welcomed the distinguished delegation, expressing that their presence was not only an honor but also a testament to the enduring wisdom, experience, and collective goodwill that the Forum embodies

He highlighted the Forum’s longstanding commitment to the advancement and stability of both the Kogi senatorial district and the state as a whole.

The association comprises esteemed senior citizens, retired Permanent Secretaries, seasoned Directors, and experienced political leaders, all of whom exemplify a profound blend of knowledge, service, and patriotic dedication.

Mr. Aziz expressed his gratitude to the forum for their invaluable sacrifices, insights, and contributions, which have significantly influenced governance, public policy, and community development throughout Kogi State. In his address, he remarked,

“This visit is both inspiring and reassuring. It is inspiring because I stand before individuals whose careers, values, and integrity have laid the foundation for the public service we are privileged to build upon today.

It is reassuring because your engagement reminds us that leadership is a continuous relay, where one generation guides, mentors, and supports the next.”For the benefit of society, he emphasized his awareness that his appointment as Permanent Secretary is both a call to service and a call to meet higher expectations.

He is inspired by the individual and collective accomplishments of those around him and reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the principles of transparency, diligence, accountability, and service to the people.

Mr. Steven Momoh expressed his sincere gratitude to each forum member for their guidance, mentorship, and support, which have significantly shaped his journey to this point. He is truly humbled to serve alongside individuals whose contributions continue to shape the development of the people of Kogi.

He acknowledged the Forum’s consistent efforts in providing advisory support, promoting peace, and fostering constructive dialogue across the Kogi Central Senatorial District and Kogi State as a whole. He noted that their interventions in governance, conflict resolution, and civic engagement have been invaluable, and he is proud to be part of an association of dedicated individuals working tirelessly for the advancement of humanity.

The Permanent Secretary expressed deep appreciation for the visit and stated that he looks forward to their continued guidance and meaningful interactions, which will enable him to advance the progress of the Kogi State Public Service, particularly within the Ministry of Health.

Mr. Momoh Aziz took the opportunity to specifically thank His Excellency, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for deeming him worthy of the appointment as Permanent Secretary.

He pledged his sincere gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in him.

He also expressed appreciation to the Honorablee Coordinating Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adams Adeiza Abdulazeez, for the unwavering support, cooperation, and assistance extended to him since he assumed his duties in the Ministry of Health, acknowledging the remarkable support he has received.Goodwill, guidance, and genuine affection are qualities for which he is deeply grateful.

In their earlier response, the Chairman of the forum, Dr. Opotu Yusuf, along with Mr. Moses Onivehu and Chief Mrs. Bala-Gbogbo, expressed their appreciation for the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Steven Momoh Aziz. They commended him for his unwavering commitment to excellence and his diligent efforts to enhance the performance and reputation of his office.

The Ministry of Health plays a pivotal role in advancing the governor’s vision for a greater Kogi State.

Mr. Onivehu, a retired Permanent Secretary from Kogi State, highlighted the forum’s recognition of Mr. Steven Momoh Aziz’s contributions to elevating the state’s health sector.
