The Permanent Secretary, Kogi State Ministry of Health, Momoh Aziz Steven, has praised the ministry’s staff for their tireless efforts and dedication, urging them to uphold the highest ethical standards of the public service.
According to a statement by Dorothy Onoja, Public Relations Officer, (PRO), the Permanent Secretary stated this during his maiden meeting with the management and staff of the ministry, where he expressed deep gratitude to God for the opportunity to rejoin the Ministry in his new role.
While commending the outstanding leadership of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, he assured him of his unwavering dedication and loyalty to his transformative vision for the Ministry and expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for the warm reception accorded him, upon his return to the ministry.

Hon. Momoh stressed the need for adaptability in the face of change, highlighting the ministry’s shift towards a paperless workplace and the adoption of innovative office solutions.
He encouraged staff to develop a deeper understanding of public service regulations and ethical principles to enhance their skills and expertise.
He also encouraged all staff of the ministry to develop a stronger proficiency in computer systems to effectively adapt to the upcoming changes in the civil service.
He said that “the future will not reward those who work the hardest, but those who work the smartest-and with the deepest sense of purpose”.
The new Permanent Secretary solicited the full support and collaboration of the staff, vowing to lead by example with a people-centered and passionate approach.
Earlier in the meeting, Hajia Lami Abubakar, Director of Administration, formally introduced Mr. Momoh and extended a warm welcome on behalf of the ministry. She assured him of the staff’s unwavering support to ensure the continued progress and success of the Ministry of Health.
Mr. Ayiedegbo Johnson, Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, also welcomed the new Permanent Secretary, expressing the team’s enthusiasm regarding his posting.
He highlighted Mr. Momoh’s commitment to advancing the ministry’s objectives and his emphasis on loyalty and teamwork.
He concluded that the management and staff of the Ministry of Health looks forward to collaborating with the new Permanent Secretary to drive progress and achieve its strategic goals.
