Allege threat to life by SDP Kogi Central senatorial candidate, Natasha Akpoti, IGP summon  Adavi, OKehi Administrators, Others

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Idris Muhammed, has summoned  the Administrators of Adavi and Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, , Hon. Joseph Salami and   Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare respectively and other alleged APC thugs to appear at the force headquarters, Abuja.

 

The invitation which was contained in a letter dated 5th December, 2018 was sequel to the petition written by Natasha Akpoti and addressed to the police high command, alleging threat to her life by the above named persons and their alleged thugs .

 

Recalled that there have been alleged  constant attack on the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Kogi Central senatorial district, Barrister Natasha Akpoti.

The two administrators and their alleged thugs were summoned to appear before the investigation panel, in the office of the inspector General of Police.

 

In the letter, the Inspector General of Police stated that the summon became necessary because of the alleged threat to the life of Natasha Akpoti and the intimidation of her supporters by the Administrators who she alleged to have been sponsoring thugs to disrupt her campaign programmes. .
