As the last Saturdays Presidential / National Assembly elections continued to draw reactions from notable indigenes of Kogi State, a former Chairman of Okene LGA ,Alhaji Yahaya Karaku has commended the Kogi central people for a peaceful and violence free elections stressing that the conducts of the electorates deserved commendation.
While speaking with journalists in Okene on Sunday , the two time chairman singled out the role played by the state governor, Alhaji yahaya Bello, pointing out that he provided a level playing field for all contestants during the electioneering process.
Alhaji Karaku expressed gratitude to Okene people for their supports,and peaceful dispositions in Saturday’s elections.
He congratulated the senator elect, Dr Yakubu Oseni and Hon . Ahmed Tijani Damisa who won the mandate of the electorates for a third term at the lower chamber of the national assembly.
Alhaji Karaku however appealed to the electorates in Okene to troop out en masse to vote for Hon.
