BREAKING :INEC declares Buhari winner of 2019 Presidential Election




The Independent National Electoral Commission, early hours of Wednesday, declared incumbent Muhammadu Buhari, and candidate candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), winner of the 2019 presidential election.


The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu who is also the Returning Officer for the Presidential election declared Buhari the winner, saying he pulled a total of 15,191,847 which gives his a comfortable lead


Buhari’s closest rival, former vice president Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled 11,262,978 votes, to come second


Yakubu said the total number of registered voters as collated, are 82, 344, 107, while the total number of accredited voters stood at 29, 364, 209.

Mahmood says the total number of valid votes is 27, 324, 583 while the total number of rejected votes is 1, 289, 607, and the total number of votes cast is 28, 614, 190.


President Muhammadu Buhari, have satisfied the law and scored the highest votes was declared winner and returned elected.
