The Appeal Court sitting in Abuja on Thursday ruled in favour of Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola, in the Osun 2018 governorship election case.
The election petition tribunal had earlier ruled in favour of Senator Ademola Adeleke declaring him winner
But Oyetola, his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not satisfied with the judgement, had filed an appeals, seeking the setting aside of the decision of the tribunal.
Adeleke also filed a cross-appeal, challenging a portion of the decision.
The lead judgement was read by Justice Jummai Hannatu Sankey.
There was also a dissenting judgement from one of the judges on the panel, but majority favoured Oyetola.
Meanwhile, Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola is yet to appoint any commissioner since he assumed office in November 2018.
