CoAS Bratai scores Gov Yahaya Bello high on security 



The Chief of Army staff,General Tukur Buratai has praised  the Kogi state Governor,Alhaji Yahaya Bello for his achievement in the area of security since his assumption  office as the chief Executive of the state.


The Chief of Army staff stated this on  Friday in Lokoja, when he paid a courtesy call on the Governor at his Lugard house seat of the state government.


The Army Chief  was on his way to Okene to inspect the facility donated for the building of 109 battalion barrack for the use of the military. 


Buratai who was represented by Major General Adeku Salihu  also an indigene of Kogi state said that the army was mindful of the achievements of the Governor by ensuring enhanced security architecture in the state.

This he said also manifest in the Governors provision of facilities for building a barrack for the use  of the  army in Okene, a facility which the chief of army staff had come inspect to ensure its suitability for building barrack for the use of the army.


He described Kogi state as being strategic in view of the importance of its location as gateway between the Northern and Southern parts of the country and therefore in need of a barrack to house the army.


The Chief of army staff was also at the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland Dr Ado Ibrahim who pledged  total support for the military establishment as an important step towards eradication of criminality in the state

He however advised the military authority to ensure sustainability of the barrack


In his response, the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello said that his administration takes the issue of security seriously and will stop at nothing until the state was rid of all forms  of criminality.


“We will do everything possible to make the state safe for investors” he added


Bello who was represented by the Secretary to the state government, Folashade Arike Ayoade said that the state government was ready  ss always to collaborate with the army to achieve the aims.
