Eid-el-kabir; Ajaokuta chairmanship aspirant, Okekenu congratulates Gov. Bello, commends the people for their perseverance

A Frontline chairmanship aspirant in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of kogi State, Comrade Abdulraheem Okekenu, has congratulated the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on the occasion of the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

In a statement personally signed by Comrade Okekenu and made available to Journalists in Lokoja, he also praised the people of the state, particularly the people of Ajaokuta LGA, for their resilience in the face of the hardship caused by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

He commended the proactive steps taking by the Governor, which he said prevented the virus from spreading in the state.

While also commending Governor Bello for the success in the fight against violent crimes in the state, the aspirant assured that given the commitment of the Bello administration, the current isolated crimes being perpetuated in some parts of the state would soon become a thing of the past.

He called on the security agents and the people of the state to cooperate with the Governor so as to halt the trend and quickly restore normalcy to the state particularly, on the Abuja-Lokoja-Okene road.

He charged Muslims to imbibe the lessons of the Eid-el-Kabir, which he said exemplified the love of Sacrifice, love and peace displayed by Prophet Ibrahim.

“What the Muslims are celebrating today is the sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim, which is symbolic. I call on Muslims and non Muslims alike to focus on this life of sacrifice for others to ensure a world of peace and harmony. Okekenu stressed.
