Ethnic Agenda or Development Agenda?

“Your Highness, the Ojogba Onu Ife, I am here to celebrate Xmas and New Year with you. Our governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has said long ago that non of his appointees shall spend holidays outside his community. He said this so that we can stay with our people, know how they feel and feed our governor back when we return to work. Before, during the time like this; government officials travel abroad, Abuja, Lagos, Kaduna to celebrate with their immediate families only but Yahaya Bello said No to that.

Your Highness, when it is election period; the message on the lips of Igala politicians is “Igala Agenda”. Your Highness, since the creation of Kogi State about 27 years ago, Igala had been governor for about 20 years. Ironically, Igala land is the most underdeveloped region of the state.

Your Highness, your people just told me that Opada-Ofejiji ward in Omala local government area never witnessed

Electricity even while Igala governor for 9 years hail from Omala but today, Bello brought electricity here.

Your Highness, 70% of the entire Igala land has no electricity but Igalas were governors for 20 years. It requires N2b naira to electrify the whole Igala land but let us ask ourselves; half of the money some of the Igala governors used in buying land to build their houses and hotels in Abuja can eletricfy the whole Igala Nation but they used the money for their own interest.
