Mrs Obi Ezekwesili, has called on President Muhammad Buhari and the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu to investigate the allege attacks launch on the Kogi Central senatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party, (SDP) , Barr. Natasha Akpoti.
The two time minister and erstwhile World Bank vice-president said, it is high time for the Nigeria police boss to swing into action and nip the issue on the board,.
Ezekwesili who was the former presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), for the 2019 election before stepping down recently, added that the police boss cannot keep ignoring the female senatorial candidate who has suffered undue persecution for the simple crime of exercising her constitutional rights.
She said president Buhari and the Inspector General of Police cannot ignore the cry of Natasha over the continuous attacks launched on her by agents of Kogi chapter of the All Progressive Congress, (APC) .
Ezekwesili added that the attacks on Natasha is condemnable and her security must be given a priority by the federal government.
Recalled that, the SDP senatorial candidate has made series of reports to the security agents over alleged attack on her by agents of the ruling APC in Kogi State and alleged plan to assassinate her.
She has consistently cried out for help and Protection by law enforcement agents which has draw National and international condemnations calling relevant authorities to take urgent steps to forestall future occurrence.Share this on WhatsApp
