In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful.

With gratitude to almighty Allah, I join my Muslim compatriots in Kogi State in welcoming the Holy Month of Ramadan.

As we mark the beginning of this Holy Month, I urge the Muslim Ummah to use this time of fasting and piety to pray for peace and love to reign amongst all the people of Kogi State.

As Muslims, we are cognizant that the Ramadan period is regarded as a time of deep introspection, a profound occasion of tightening family and community bonds, increased generosity, moment of spiritual rejuvenation and fulfillment.

I entreat you all to conduct yourselves very well all through the Holy Month in order to maximize the spiritual and physical benefits inherent in the Ramadan period.

May the crescent-shaped moon brighten your path toward enlightenment and may almighty Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) bless you with peace and grace.

Assalaamu Alaykum Waramatullahi Wabarakatuh.
