Gov Bello urges Kogi farmers to key into APPEALS Agro programme of the world Bank 




The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello,  has urged the people of the State to avail themselves of the opportunity offered by the World Bank assisted Agro-Processing Productivity Enhancement and Livelihood Improvement Support (APPEALS) Project to enhance their economic wellbeing.


The Governor who was represented by Secretary to Kogi State Government, (SSG) Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, gave this advice during a Stakeholders’ Advocacy and Sensitization Workshop with theme “The Place of APPEALS Project in Transforming the Agricultural Sector of Kogi State in line with the New Direction Blueprint”.said that the people of the state has alot to gain from the programme

The Governor encouraged farmers to make good use of the opportunity noting that he looked forward to a time when Kogi farm products would be massively on the international market.


She further advised farmers to avoid diverting the fund towards other purposes, stating that most of the challenges faced by farmers in the past are being solved by the World Bank Assisted Project.


The governor’s advise was contained in a statement by Olajumoke Obatomi, Public Relations Officer (PRO), Office of the SSG.
