Governor Otu orders reversal of recent postings in Secondary Education Board

The Governor of Cross State, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, has given a directive ordering the immediate reversal of recent posting carried out by the State Secondary Education Board.

Determined to entrench and uphold the Nolan Principles of Integrity, Accountability, Openness, Objectivity, Honesty, Selflessness and Leadership in governance and public service, Governor Otu gave the order for the reversal following complaints and allegations of bias, financial malfeasance and absence of transparency.

The governor on his facebook page posted: “I have ordered the immediate reversal of the recent postings made by the State Secondary Education Board due to allegations of bias, financial impropriety, and lack of transparency.

“This reversal will remain in effect until further notice, and anyone who may have made payments to influence their posting is advised to request an immediate refund.

“I am committed to upholding higher standards and driving reforms in the state’s educational system.”

Since assumption of office as Cross River helmsman on May 29, 2023, Prince Otu, well-known as an upright, straightforward and disciplined politician, has prioritized good governance through the promotion of transparency, accountability and efficiency in the running of the state’s affairs, thereby paving the way for a total transformation and overall development in Cross River.
