GYB Frontiers lauds gov. Bello on payment of arrears of salary to civil servants



GYB Frontiers has commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for keeping to his promise of paying outstanding salary arrears of workers as soon as necessary funds are available.

In a statement signed by the chairman of the group, Alhaji Hans Muhammed, said that this action has gone a long way to show that the governor as a caring father will not owe workers salary deliberately if the funds are available.

“The Governor is a man of his words. Today workers are happy because the Governor has kept to his promise. We appealed to the workers and the people of Kogi to resprocate this gesture by voting massively for the Governor come November 16, 2019 governoship election.

“It is better to have someone you can trust and hold accountable for your resources, instead of those who have looted the state in the past. Governor Bello have been tested and can still be trusted.

The group called on those whose only grudge against the governor was the issue of salary to close rank, now that the salary have been paid with the availability of resources.

“We need not stress the fact that there are those whose only grudge against the governor was the issue of non payment of salaries which the governor inherited. We call on such person to close rank in the interest of the state, now that Governor is handling the issue fronterly.

“If our objective is the development of the state infrastructurally, through the provision of quality education, comprehensive healthcare delivery, construction and rehabilitation of roads across the state, sustain investment in the provision of adequate security of lives and property of our people, then let us forget our sentiments and join hands with the Governor to achieve the above which he is already tackling head on.

“Goovernor remains our best option in order to build on the present development and peace in the state and foster Unity amongst the people of the state. The chairman stressed.
