It’s Harvest of Awards as Professor Seidu Onailo Mohammed Gets Three Awards One Day

The Director General of National Space Research and Development Agency, NASRDA, Professor Seidu Onailo Mohammed on Wednesday in Abuja received three awards from three different non political organizations cutting across the three senatorial districts of Kogi state.

 

The award which was premised on the people centred leadership style, friendliness, capacity building and outstanding performances of Prof. Mohammed were given by the Igala Youth Arise Association from the eastern part of the state, the Ozovehe Women Descendant Association from the central senatorial zone of the state and Okun Progressive Organization from the Western senatorial zone of the state.

Describing Prof. Mohammed as the golden fish without hiding place, the representatives of the three organizations who spoke at different point said the awards became imperative since there is no prejudice against justice.

Recalled that With good number of satellites designed and developed under his watch which are currently orbiting, Prof. Mohammed who met only seven PhD holders with a few M.sc holders on assumption of duty as the Director-General can now boast of having over 150 PhD holders and 500 M.sc holders in the Agency, a feat that has been adjudged as a revolutionary leadership style.

 

While calling on the ebullient professor of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System to consider throwing in the towel to contest the November 21st governorship election in Kogi state, the representative of the Kogi sons and daughters at home and diaspora, who was also at the event said, having carefully observed his achievements in NASRDA, it would be unjust for Kogi state to have his kind and still suffer for leadership.

On his part, Prof. Mohammed thanked the representatives of the various organizations for the recognition, saying the awards would spur him to serve the nation more.

Describing Kogi state as the confluence of opportunity, the Kogi born professor said, the state has not been able to optimally realize its potential despite being blessed in all ramifications from human capital, arable land to numerous solid mineral deposits.

Prof Mohammed who explained the complementary advantages of the three senatorial districts of the state said with space technology and other appropriate digital tools, the state would no doubt bounce back and compete with any state in the country.

He called on the people of the state to support the re-election bit of President Buhari who he described as a man with passion and integrity.
