The Ijumu Democratic Movement, a socio political pressure group has asked Dr J. J. Orugun, the African Democratic Congress candidate for Kabba Bunu Ijumu federal constituency to look very well before he leaps.

 

In a statement issued and signed by Segun Arogundade, President Ijumu Democratic Movement, cautioned the lecturer to be weary of delving into murky waters of politics, and not to trade certainty for uncertainty.

 

According to the statement, the Movement called on Dr. Orugun, to thread softly, pointing out that it would be disastrous threading his highly appreciated lecturing profession, where he is due for promotion as Associate Professor for a game where his chances looks bleak.

The Movement recalled that it cannot forget in a hurry the role usually played by Dr Orugun in helping Ijumu indigenes to secure admission at the Kogi State University, saying that it would be wrong of such  efforts to be traded for uncertainty.

 

The Movement warned the versatile lecturer not to forgo his highly exalted office for the House of Representative election that would be a herculean tasked to win, except by the stroke of luck and God.

 

The Ijumu Democratic Movement however commended the erudite professor for his courage in wanting to change the course of improving the lot of his people with the ADC ticket, but urged him to think deeply before resignation, as it is not a wise decision in the interest of Ijumu Democratic Movement.
