Kidnapped PDP House of Assembly candidate regains freedom 




The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), candidate in the last state Assembly election in Kogi Haruna Muhammed who was Kidnapped last weekend have been released by his abductors.


It was not immediately clear as at press time if any ransom was paid to the kidnappers before his release was secured.


Haruna could not make it to the final 25 members of Kogi State House of Assembly, in the last election, March 23,  2019


Muhammed was said to have been abducted on his way to Oguma, headquarters of Bassa local government area of Kogi State, weekend.

A family member who offered to speak to Enduringnews Online on the condition of anonymity said he was traveling to Oguma with three other persons in the vehicle with him.


Another family source in Lokoja however said no  ransom for the release of the business tycoon was made to the best of his knowledge.


There have been no confirmation by the police on the release of the abducted Muhammed as at the time of going to press
