The reconciliation of the APC factions in Kogi state celebrated recently might have been cut short as the Secretary to the Haddy Ametuo faction, Tom Adejoh, has said that he was not interested in the withdrawal of the case against the Governor Yahaya Bello led faction
Adejoh had earlier today filed an affidavit for the continuation of the case in court in Abuja to determine the automatic executives of the party in the state.
It will be recalled that the APC in Kogi State had two factional State executives; one led by Hadi Ametuo while the other faction loyal to Governor Yahaya Bello is being led by Abdullahi Bello.
It was reliably gathered that Hadi Ametuo had earlier prayed the court for a withdrawal of the case having had an out of court settlement and reconciliation with Governor Yahaya Bello.
However, the State Secretary thinks otherwise as he maintained that other party executives are favourably disposed to the continuation of the case.
Guardian learnt that the move by Hadi Ametuo, the factional chairman of the Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress to stall the progress of proceedings in the ongoing legal tussle to determine the authentic party executives in the state was a device to bail Governor Yahaya Bello out of the difficult bid for a second tenure.
It was further gathered that the affidavit sworn to by the Hadi Ametuo Secretary of the APC would be attended to by an Justice of the Abuja High Court in the coming days.Share this on WhatsApp
