Kogi Governor’s Wife Mrs Rashida Bello Visits ConJoin  Twins  at the  Federal  Medical  Centre Lokoja, pay medical bills of patients

In her determination to bring succour to the down throdden people of Kogi State, particularly the women folk, the Wife of Kogi State Governor, Mrs Rashida Bello,  has paid the hospital bills of some indigent patients in   Female Surgical and Medical Wards at the Federal Medical Center Lokoja.

Senior Special Assistant the first Lady and made available to journalists, said that  the Governor’s Wife  had visited the hospital to see the conjoined twins and their mother.
Mrs Bello  assured the parents that the state government will do everything in its power to ensure that the children gets appropriate medical attention.
The set of conjoined twins, medically referred to as ‘Siamese twins’  occur in 1 out of 189,000 births, most commonly found in Africa and Asia.
 The condition comes with the babies sharing same organs in some situations as they  are joined at different portions of the body.
Also a patient  Mrs. Salitu Yahaya from Adavi Local Government Area  with flat/waist fracture was not left out of Mrs Bello’s magnanimous gesture as she was given a wheelchair to ease her mobility.
