Kogi Governor’s wife Rashida Yahaya Bello Bags award of Excellence. 




The wife of kogi State governor,  Mrs Rashida Bello has awarded a prestigious award of Excellence for her outstanding benevolence aimed at uplifting the living standards of the women, youths and the vulnerable in the society.


The award was presented to  her at the women  initiative programme organized by Buhari Campaign Organisation and Hajia Mariam Ibrahim Foundation in partnership with the office of the Director General Kogi State Bureau of Information and Grassroots Sensitisation.


The ceremony took place in Okene, headquarters of Okene local government area of the state.


According to the Organizers, the award was presented to  the first lady of the confluence state based on her continuous engagement in reaching out and ensuring that women, youths and vulnerable people in the state are well catered for.

In added that her leading role in the re-election campaign of the President Muhammadu Buhari was also taking into consideration by the group.


Receiving the The award Mrs Rashida Bello Expressed delight that the  award will further boost her drive to serve the people of the state more than she has ever done before.


She stressed that the Rashida Bello Foundation will continue to strive to improve the lots of women, children,  youths less privileges and the vulnerable in kogi State.


She thanked the Buhari Campaign Organisation for finding her worthy of such honour and the New Direction Governor, her dear husband, Alhaji Yahaya Bello,  for making the women, youths and less privileges in kogi State one of the focal points of the New Direction Agenda.

She urged the people of the state to continue to support the development strides of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and that of her husband Governor Yahaya Bello to collectively take Nigeria and kogi State as well to the next level. through her pet project The Rashida Bello foundation.
