Kogi pilgrims receives $150 each as kogi governor’s gift



Kogi state pilgrims have received the sum of $150 dollars each as gift from the Governor of kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

In a telephone message, the Kogi State Hajj Commission, said that the 463 pilgrims were paid $150 Dollars each, which he said was the Governor’s gift to them.

According to the Commission, the payment comenced Friday and was completed on Saturday.

The statement added that the Commission has eqally commenced preparation in earnest for the Hajj proper with series of lectures to prepare the pilgrims for the exercise.

The pilgrims in their separate speeches commended the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the officials of the Commission for keeping to their promise.

The pilgrims prayed for the Governor’s successes in all his endevour and for the peace and progress of kogi state.

They promised to abide by the advise of the Governor and instructions of the Commission to be good ambassadors of kogi state in the Holy land of Makkah.
