Kogi Speaker charge Christians to be prayer fully,  have faith in God

Speaker  of the Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, Rt Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole has enjoined  Christians to be prayerful and have faith in God in all circumstances.
The Speaker stated this on Sunday  at the annual Adult Harvest program of St Barnabas Anglican Church, Aiyetoro Egunbe, Kabba.
The Speaker who was one of the special Guests of Honor and Harvest Chairman, commended the church for their prayers and support for him and the government of the day in the country.
According to him, serving God is profitable, which is why he has decided as an individual to always use whatever he has to work for God.
He said whatever possessions and wealth man may have on earth is ‘vanity upon vanity’ , hence his determination to continue to use his resources for the advancement of the gospel of Christ and humanity.
He said as a politician, he believes one day he will sleep and may not wake up again, stressing that, he joined politics basically to serve the humanity .
He urged everyone to continue to pray for Governor Yahaya Bello and other people in positions of authority in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.
He promised to continue to provide quality  representation for the people of his  constituency at the state level.
The Speaker donated towards the  development of the church and pledged to provide potable water for the church by sinking a borehole.
Women who were in the church service were not left out, as the speaker extended the gesture  to them,  saying that he decided to take care of  them because women don’t have equal opportunities with their  male counterparts.
The Vicar in charge, Ven. S. O Folorunsho commended the Speaker and other invited guests who honoured their invitation for their support and cooperation to promote the work of God in the church.
He said it is mandatory for Christians to pray and work for God, stressing that many are called but only few will answer.
He commended the Speaker for his giant contributions towards the church, noting that he has fulfilled all his promises, one of which is the painting of the church which he did immediately he promised last year.
He charged other politicians to emulate the Speaker who is up and doing in promoting the work of God in all ramifications.
Other dignitaries in church, includes, Olori Marie Owoniyi, wife of the Obaro of Kabba, Chief and Mrs,  Julius and Ruth Arokoyo, Mr Ajayi Ibitolu, Mrs Bimpe Alfred, Chairman, Kogi Hotels and Tourism Board, Hon Fola Dare, Hon Gabriel Ojo, Hon Sunday Ojo, Mr John Arokoyo, Hon Yinka Bebeyi, Hon Emmanuel  Ampitan, Mr Sunday Saiye among others.
