Kogi Sports Council boss receives award of excellence

For his unprecedented achievements since assumption of office, the chairman of Kogi State Sports Council, Hon. Abdulmaliki Isah (Dolly) has been given award of “Best Sport Man of the Year”.

 

The award which was initiated by Kogi Football Association was presented to the beneficiary by Chief Edward David Onoja, the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor recently during the finals of the maiden edition of GYB Soccer Tournament at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja.

The Chief of Staff, Chief Edward Onoja, poured encomiums on Hon. Isah for turning the fortunes of the sport sector in the state in a short period of time in office.

Chief Onoja further assured the youths of the state government’s determination to creatively engage them through sporting activities, adding that their ingenious potentials would be harnessed for the development of the state.

 

Responding, Hon. Isah who dedicated the award to God and Kogi State Sports enthusiasts appreciated Governor Yahaya Bello for finding him worthy to champion his vision of sport revolution in the state.

 

He further noted that the just concluded GYB Soccer Tournament would not have recorded success if not the support of the Chief of Staff, Chief Edward David Onoja and the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr Abubakar Ohere.

While urging the youths to support the administration of Governor Yahaya Bello in his quest to salvage the state, Hon. Isah assured them to expect better outing next year when the second edition of the tournament would be organised.
