Kogi State First Lady Flag – Off Free Medical Care in Ijumu

The Wife of Kogi State Governor, Hajia Rashida Bello on Tuesday , rekindled the hope of the  people of Ijumu Local Government, by her intervention in the healthcare delivery to the people of the area.

 

In a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Administrator of Ijumu local government, on Media, Othman Hamidu  the first Lady stressed that healthcare and welfare of Kogi people remains top priority of the New Direction Administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello and her pet project the Rashida Bello Foundation.

Hajia Rashida Bello made the statement at the Comprehensive Health Center, Iyara in Ijumu Local Government during the flag off ceremony of the Rashida Bello foundation free medical outreach and Welfare package.

The statement added that the first Lady also pledged to foot the medical bills of Mr Segun Kolade, a Local Government staff who the Administrator of the council, Alh Isa Taofiq, has helped in footing the bill for the amputation of his legislative, but needs further eye surgery.

 

The Administrator of Ijumu Local Government who also doubles as the State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Taufiq Isa thanked Hajia Rashida Bello for finding it worthy to visit Ijumu Local Government.

 

He eulogized Mrs Rashida’s kind gesture in ensuring that the people of Ijumu benefit massively from the Rashidat Bello foundation free medical outreach and Welfare.

The Kogi State House of Assembly Chief Whip, Hon. Victor Adewale Omofaiye equally urged Ijumu people to avail themselves for the free medical outreach saying that this is a golden opportunity.

 

Also present at the flag off are: the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Sunday Tolorunleke, Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism,Hon.Lewis Asubiojo, Special Adviser on Health, Dr. Ahmed Attah and Senior Special Assistant on Internally Generated Revenue, Hon. Obadunmi Emmanuel, among others.
